Thanks for visiting my website. By using the menu above you can get a glimpse of my work as a Member of the NSW Parliament.They will link you to information about the health portfolio, provide a picture of the electorate of North Shore and offer assistance to students wishing to learn more about the NSW Parliament. There are also petitions and a survey to enable you to tell me about issues of concern to you. But please don't feel limited to those.. One of the most frequently visited sections of the site are the media pages. There are dozens of them dating from the last election in March 2007. And I have listed a few of the latest press releases at left and you can find more by following the links. Many people ask me what motivates me to work so strenuously to improve our health system, supporting the fantastic people who work in it and helping patients get the care they need. One reason is clearly illustrated in the story about the establishment of the dialysis unit at Forbes Hospital in March 2009 and how it has helped Jared Annis-Brown get his mum back.

Many people have been contacting Jillian and her Coalition colleagues about deplorable conditions in hospitals. They are especially concerned about sweltering wards without air conditioning, and difficulties treating patients because of low supplies caused by unpaid bills. To give you - staff, patients and families - an opportunity to help us identify what is needed and where, we have developed an audit survey for you to complete. Although NSW Coalition policies for the 2007 election are all being reviewed, those which I was responsible for - Health and Arts policies - can still be seen on this site.

A key health policy released on March 27th 2009 shows how the Coalition would reform the management of the public health system. Called 'Making it Work' because senior health professionals had said there was no framework that would show how to make other improvements. The policy has been welcomed by clinicians and key bodies such as the NSW AMA. **** The NSW Liberal-Nationals Coalition has released a number of discussion papers preparatory to finalisation of policies for the 2011 election. For copies of these, videos, papers, petitions and press releases issued by the State Liberal Party please visit the website of Leader Barry O'Farrell visit www.barryofarrell.com Discussion papers released by Jillian Skinner will be accessible through this website and so far include: Libraries - the Hub of the Communmity. Jillian has also introduced Vanessa's Law on behalf of the NSW Coalition. Although defeated by Labor, the proposed legislation regarding treatment of children in adult wards is still of major concern to the Coalition.
