Jillian Skinner has been NSW Shadow Minister for Health between March 1995 and March 2003 then again from September 2005.
Being Shadow Health Minister means keeping a check
on whether the government is providing high quality health services for the
people of NSW.
It requires regular meetings with health professionals and their associations,
many discussions and much correspondence with patients and their families
and visits to institutions across NSW.
It involves highlighting issues and responding to legislative matters in Parliament,
Parliament, in speeches and the media and developing policies which the Coalition would adopt
in government.
